Iowa BEST: Behavioral, Equitable, Social-Emotional, Trauma-Informed Health in Schools Summit
The Iowa BEST Summit is designed to highlight educators’ collective need to bolster support and care across the educational system, and to build shared capacity to get there. The sessions will deliver resources and practical solutions around social-emotional-behavioral health. #IowaBEST2021

Iowa schools are integrating a variety of mental health providers into their systems to support both general and special education students. Participants will discuss proposed roles and responsibilities of both school-employed and community-employed mental health personnel within an MTSS framework. Participants will discuss why a statewide framework to support student's social, emotional, mental, and behavioral needs is necessary for efficient and effective systems that result in optimal student outcomes.
