Iowa BEST: Behavioral, Equitable, Social-Emotional, Trauma-Informed Health in Schools Summit
The Iowa BEST Summit is designed to highlight educators’ collective need to bolster support and care across the educational system, and to build shared capacity to get there. The sessions will deliver resources and practical solutions around social-emotional-behavioral health. #IowaBEST2021

This presentation will focus on practices that cue our brains and bodies for safety, connection, and the ability to thrive even when our experiences and relationships feel challenging. Participants will learn how to: -Create caring, trusting, connections in classrooms and schools. -Use the science of relationships to address adversity and trauma. -Find ways to support the stress response cycle in students, staff, and ourselves. -Build opportunities for social emotional development and resiliency.
