Why the Pyramid Model Practices Matter More Than Ever: Supporting Young Children through the Pandemic and Other Challenging Times (Part 1)

This two-part session will focus on supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of young children and their families. The following topics will be discussed: a)  an overview of the impact of the Pandemic on young children and families; b) pivotal practices for supporting children through these challenging times; and c) the Pyramid Model for Supporting Young Children’s Social Emotional Competence. In addition, the session will address strategies for supporting teachers and classroom staff to implement these practices.
