Student mental health is more important now than it has ever been before. Educators and students need to work together to improve school climate, especially in the area of school mental health. This session will help educators learn how to connect to their students in meaningful ways through trauma informed practices. Students from Iowa will share their thoughts on how to create an environment where students feel safe and empowered to break mental health stigma, develop strong relationships with educators and peers, and seize leadership opportunities around mental health.
