Iowa BEST: Behavioral, Equitable, Social-Emotional, Trauma-Informed Health in Schools Summit
The Iowa BEST Summit is designed to highlight educators’ collective need to bolster support and care across the educational system, and to build shared capacity to get there. The sessions will deliver resources and practical solutions around social-emotional-behavioral health. #IowaBEST2021

Contact Me

Matt is the Director of Special Services for the Marshalltown Community School District and the co-founder of Wellness Connection of Iowa, LLC. He served as a therapist and Program Director within PMIC organizations before moving into education. Other past work experiences include School Psychologist and Team Leader for Behavioral Supports within Heartland Area Education Agency. Matt is a graduate of the inaugural CASEL Fellowship and is certified in the Collaborative Problem Solving approach through Think:Kids, an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a member of the AASA's Social-Emotional Learning cohort, AASA's Mental Health cohort, and Atomic MTSS. As a former therapist turned educator, I'm very passionate about supporting the students, staff, and families of the Marshalltown community!
