Iowa BEST: Behavioral, Equitable, Social-Emotional, Trauma-Informed Health in Schools Summit
The Iowa BEST Summit is designed to highlight educators’ collective need to bolster support and care across the educational system, and to build shared capacity to get there. The sessions will deliver resources and practical solutions around social-emotional-behavioral health. #IowaBEST2021

Dr. Brian Gaunt is an Assistant Program Director and Technical Assistance Specialist for the Florida Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support (FLPBIS) Project within the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities located at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Prior to this role, he served as a Regional Coordinator with the Florida RtI/MTSS Project. With 20 years of experience in education, and knowledge in the areas of behavior analysis, curriculum & instruction, program evaluation, implementation science, reading development, data-based decision-making, and school psychology, he has been supporting Florida schools and other school districts nationally and internationally (e.g., Los Angeles Unified; Sacramento Unified; Victoria, Australia) to implement MTSS. He also currently serves as an adjunct instructor for the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences and the College of Education at USF, and he has provided many presentations at various state, national and international conferences focused on school improvement, MTSS, PBIS, and School Psychology in education.
