Jennifer Cira

Grant Wood Area Education Agency
Family Coordinator
Jennifer Cira brings us knowledge from nearly 15 years of experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. During that time she was able to work in both educational and clinical settings. Her drive to work with families began with her role as a Forensic Interviewer. This role provided the opportunity to work collaboratively with families, law enforcement, and the Department of Human Services when there was a suspicion of child abuse. Following this role, she was afforded the opportunity to be the Director of Parent Education Consortium and Play and Learn of East Central Iowa. Here, she was able to support parent education, professional development, and providing access to resources to facilitate the positive development of children. In her current role with the Family Educator Partnership at Grant Wood AEA, Jennifer works collaboratively with educators, families, and community partners to promote success for youth and children with disabilities.
